Lindsay Lohan (Lindsay Dee Lohan) was born in New York City on 2 July 1986 to Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan. She began her career at age three as a model at the Eileen Ford Agency, and made appearances in over 60 television commercials, including spots for The Gap, Pizza Hut, Wendy's and Jell-O (opposite Bill Cosby). Lohan made her acting debut in 1996 as the third actress to play Ali Fowler in the television drama "Another World" (1964). Shortly afterward she was hand-picked by Oscar-nominated writer Nancy Meyers as estranged twin sisters in an adaptation by Walt Disney Pictures of a novel by Erich Kästner, which marked Meyers' directorial debut. Lohan's first feature film, The Parent Trap (1998), a remake of The Parent Trap (1961), was a modest commercial success, earning her widespread critical acclaim and a Young Artist award for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film, as well as Blockbuster Entertainment and YoungStar award nominations.

After signing a three-movie contract with Disney, she returned to the small screen to star in the made-for-TV movies Life-Size (2000) (TV) (opposite Tyra Banks) and Get a Clue (2002) (TV) (opposite Bug Hall). She also appeared as Rose in the pilot episode of the short-lived comedy series "Bette" (2000), which starred Bette Midler.

In June 2001 Lohan took a brief hiatus from acting. Her music career was launched over a year later, when Estefan Enterprises made a five-album production deal with her in September 2002, and she signed a recording contract with the reactivated Casablanca Records.

However, Lohan was not turning her back on her blossoming acting career. Just over a month previously she had been cast opposite Jamie Lee Curtis for another Disney adaptation of a novel, this time a fantasy comedy by Mary Rodgers. Freaky Friday (2003), a remake of Freaky Friday (1976), was a huge hit (generating over $160 million in worldwide box office receipts) and critics were spellbound by delightful performances from Lohan and Curtis (who went on to receive a Golden Globe nomination for her work). In addition, Lohan won the 2004 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Female, as well as a Saturn award nomination and another Young Artist award nomination.

Lohan relocated permanently to Los Angeles between projects and moved into an apartment with fellow actress Raven-Symoné. She also dated pop star Aaron Carter for a short time.

Her next acting role was the title character in the comedy Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004), a Disney adaptation of the novel by Dyan Sheldon. The film received scathing reviews upon its release and died a quick death at the box office, but even the harshest of critics were impressed by Lohan's charming turn as aspiring actress Lola.

Lohan's next project, Mean Girls (2004), saw her reunite with Freaky Friday (2003) director Mark Waters. Inspired by a non-fiction book by Rosalind Wiseman and written by "Saturday Night Live" (1975) scribe Tina Fey, the high-school comedy-drama opened to glowing reviews and grossed $86 million in the US. This earned her status as a bankable actress, and a salary of $7.5 million for the Donald Petrie romantic comedy Just My Luck (2006).

One of the most sought-after young actresses in the industry, she starred in Bobby (2006) (opposite Demi Moore and Sharon Stone), the Disney fantasy adventure Herbie Fully Loaded (2005) (a pseudo-sequel to The Love Bug (1968)) and the critically acclaimed A Prairie Home Companion (2006). On top of a thriving film career Lohan also launched a music career, releasing her debut album, "Speak," which hit shelves in December 2004.

In 2009 Lohan launched her own fashion line titled 6126, mainly focusing on the production of women's leggings. By spring she launched a self-tanning spray line titled "Sevin Nyne" and by the end of the year she became an artistic designer for fashion house Ungaro.

The 45-year-old actress, who admitted to the Mail she had tried a wide variety of diets in a desperate bid to slim down, said: ‘Health is really important to me. My uncle had a stroke and died last year, which was a bit of a wake-up call.’
She told Woman & Home magazine: ‘At certain points in life it’s easy not to think about what the consequences might be further down the road.
‘But I made an effort to lose weight because I think the problems of obesity are becoming more known now. I was 17 and a half stone. I stopped drinking five years ago, and I stopped smoking around three years ago, so the weight was the next thing.’
Most famous for playing feisty Welsh lass Nessa Jenkins in the BBC hit comedy she co-created with James Corden, Miss Jones added: ‘I’ve always been big but I just felt that it was getting to a really unhealthy level.
‘People have different attitudes if you’re in the public eye. They can say, ‘Yeah, good for her, she embraces her size,’ and you think, ‘Yeah, but it’s not healthy.’
Regardless of how it looks aesthetically, it’s not healthy to have a BMI as high as I did. I wasn’t able to move around.’
The star, whose new comedy Stella launches on Sky One tonight, told how her husband, TV producer David Peet – with whom she runs Tidy Productions - had also lost weight with her.
She said: ‘I’ve lost four and a half stone. The key thing was acceptance and patience – to accept it was going to take a couple of years.

'It’s not going to happen overnight. I wouldn’t judge anyone on how they lose weight, but the only way I was going to do it was to count calories. So I went down to 1,200-1,500 calories a day.
‘It was heartbreaking. There was literally a moment where I thought, ‘Oh my god, I’ve got to eat less food.’ It was more about the portion sizes than anything. I still have blowouts, but I got into the habit of counting calories. If I feel like it, I’ll still eat chocolate, but I’ll be thinking,
‘How many calories am I eating?’
‘I’ve still got a way to go – I’m still two or three stone overweight, according to the charts. I’m in this half-stone zone that I don’t move out of. I’m 13 stone and I’ll go up to 13.7 and back down again. It’s hard to go past it. My husband lost weight with me – again, for health reasons.
Now a size 16, Miss Jones said she did not ‘hide as much’ in baggy clothes.
The best compliment she had received, she said, came was when she was told she was a size 14 by a saleswoman in the Stella McCartney section in department store Selfridges, and laughed: ‘She was wrong, but it felt SO good!’
She said she tried to exercise, and turned to aerobics and running, but in the end realised: ‘walking a bit faster is better than not walking at all.’

Whitney Houston Funeral Live - Whitney Houston, one of the world's biggest music artists, passed away last Saturday at the age of 48. A funeral remembering the legend is set for today at the New Hope Baptist Church in Houston's hometown of Newark, New Jersey. Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina, ex-husband Bobby Brown and around 1,500 other members of her family and friends are expected to attend the private funeral service today. The late singer and actress' "The Bodyguard" co-star Kevin Costner and longtime producer Clive Davis are also set to speak at the funeral, as well as Aretha Franklin, CeCe Winans and Stevie Wonder. Wonder is reportedly set to perform during the service, which the family has called a "home going" ceremony.

TMZ posted photographs of Bobbi Kristina, who was with Houston in Los Angeles when she died, arriving in New Jersey last night. Outside of New Hope Baptist Church, fans have been laying down balloons, flowers, cards and other commemorative material. The streets surrounding the church have also been been shut down to the public for the service.

Houston is set to be buried next to father John Houston, in Westfield, New Jersey. The hearse carrying Houston's casket was seen departing from Whigham Funeral Home for the church Saturday morning at around 10am.

The six-time Grammy winner was found unresponsive in her Beverly Hills hotel room one week ago; the reason for her death is unknown, though it is reported that prescription drugs were found in her room.

Ruth Jeffery Free Naked Photos - Shane Webber, 22, sent explicit photos and videos to Ruth Jeffery and emailed intimate pictures of her to her friends and family.

He also pretended to be Ruth on the internet — posting naked images of her on adult websites and contacting men saying she fancied them. One man even turned up at her home as a result.

Jobless Webber, who was going out with Ruth the entire time she was being harassed, knew it made her ill. She was on anti-depressants and stopped eating due to the abuse.

Webber, from Nottingham, was caught in June this year when an explicit email he sent to Ruth's entire contact list was traced back to his computer.

Ruth, 22, from West Bridgford, Notts, now hopes he is jailed. Speaking of her ordeal, she said: "I want him to be put in prison because he has wrecked the past three-and-a-half years of my life.

"I've known him for ten years, so in a way it feels like the past ten years have been wasted.

"If there's anything I could have done differently, it would be to have reported it sooner.

"We were really close. We did everything together. I would tell him everything. I thought he was telling me everything."

Webber's campaign of abuse began when he set up multiple fake email addresses — using them to contact Ruth while pretending to be former schoolmates and bombarding her with sexually explicit images and videos.

Ruth said: "He was pretending to be a lot of people. The first few times it happened, I started getting annoyed by it and I blocked all the names.

It became more frequent. They were all saying very similar things. They were all saying, 'I used to fancy you, Ruth. I think you are really good-looking and I want to meet up.'

"He created an account very similar to mine and was speaking to people, making out he was me.

"He was getting information about these people so he could pass this information back to me.

"He was sending out pictures of me, saying to them, 'It's Ruth, I really like you. Here's a picture of me, can you send pictures back?'

"It made me feel sick. I was confused as to why it was happening — why these people who I thought were people from school would be sending me these kind of images.

"It made me so stressed because it was happening every single day.

"I started to see pictures of me appearing online that were being sent around. They were on any adult website I could find."

The abuse affected computer sciences student Ruth so badly she had to retake exams at Loughborough University.

She was forced to take increasing doses of anti-depressants, developed symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder, and even stopped eating at times.

Ruth added: "There were times when I phoned up my mum and said, 'I don't want to be alive anymore.'

"I just didn't want to do anything. It's still hard to believe it was my own boyfriend all the time."

Webber has admitted causing harassment, alarm or distress at Southampton Magistrates' Court. He will be sentenced next month.
