Shakira Shaking Her Hips

Shakira, this is stuff you'd surely want to live 80 years for. A R100cr party that runs for five days, Shakira shaking her hips, a 2.5-crore film made on you, and 500 celebrity guests to cheer you on.

And these are just a few of the highlights from DLF honcho KP Singh's birthday bash in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Held in the middle of lake Pichola at Jagmandir, the fiesta, which started on November 12, ended on Wednesday with a brunch.

But, it was Colombian pop sensation Shakira who stole the limelight as she gyrated to hits such as Hips don't lie, Waka Waka, Whenever Wherever and She Wolf for half an hour at the evening gala on Tuesday night, hosted by actor Kabir Bedi.

"Namashkar," said Shakira before starting. She wore a golden bindi, and said during the gig, "This is the second time I've come to Udaipur and I love it."

She also thanked guests with a "Shukriya" before bowing out. Birthday boy Singh couldn't resist shaking a leg with the beauty. "This is the first time I'm having a party like this and I am going to live long to have more have such celebrations," said Singh, dressed in a jet-black suit.

Pakistani singer Adnan Sami played the piano before the audience chivvied him for his first hit, Lift Kara De. "My God, this song would be a little out of place here but anyways," he said before singing. It is said that Shakira charged R18cr for her act while Sami took home R50 lakh.
