Ranbir Kapoor Jordan from Rockstar

Actor Ranbir Kapoor is excited about completing his four years in Bollywood with his eighth release, Rockstar. His debut movie, Saawariya, opened at the box office in November 2007.

So, which is the most important lesson he has learnt over the years? "The most important lesson I have learnt is not to let news or views of people distract me. At the end of the days it's your work that counts and makes you respected as an actor."

Kapoor says that earlier Sid from his movie, Wake Up Sid, was his favourite role but but now it is Janardan/Jordan from Rockstar. Does he relate to the Janardan's journey? "I wish nobody has to go through the tragedy and heartbreak that Janardan goes through in the film. Everybody has their share of trials and heartbreaks. I too have had them and I believe they make an artist stronger." He also does not let the Kapoor tag bog him down. "I I am an actor first, not a star. I compete only with myself," he says.
